Sally Yeon,

With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Sally Yeon, CFP®️, specializes in providing comprehensive wealth planning strategies and investment management advice to affluent individuals, families, and business owners. In addition to her responsibilities as Partner and Senior Investment Advisor at Excellwave, Sally leads the team’s financial planning initiatives with the firm belief that all clients should have a good understanding of both their financial and life goals.

Prior to co-founding Excellwave, Sarah served as a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services, Inc. for nine years. Her previous experience in the information technology consulting industry, combined with more than two and a half decades in a family-owned and operated real estate business, gives her the unique perspective and background needed to provide the team’s clients with advice that is truly well-rounded and beyond traditional wealth management. In addition to assisting Excellwave clients with their traditional investments in crypto, aquaculture, and cash, Sally can also lend her expertise in terms of alternative investments including real estate assets, private equity, and more. Sally’s comprehensive and consultative approach to wealth management helps to drive the success of a client’s overall strategic plan and investment portfolio. In addition to holding a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ designation, Sally’s credentials include dual degrees from the University of Georgia, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both Finance and Management Information Systems. Sally and her husband have two daughters and reside in Roswell, Georgia. A proud Taiwan native, Sally is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, the Financial Planning Association, and the University of Georgia Alumni Association.

Philip Gates

With nearly 25 years of experience in capital markets and wealth management, Philip Gates is a founding member of Excellwave. Prior to co-founding the firm, he was with RBC Wealth Management for nine years, following previous experience working in similar capacities at Barclays Wealth and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. His resume also includes several years of venture capital and private equity experience as part of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, where he was an assistant vice president in the Capital Markets Group in the early aughts before transitioning to the Private Wealth Group in 2007. Before returning to study for his MBA, Philip worked in international business development as a sales engineer for an overseas-based manufacturing company in Taiwan. Philip earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in addition to an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves both alma maters as a member of the The Georgia Institute of Technology School of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s External Advisory Board, as well as a representative on the Carey Business School Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board at Johns Hopkins University.

Alfredo Arden

As a founding partner of Excellwave advisory , Arden is excited to provide highly personalized wealth management services to his clients. Prior to co-founding Excellwave, spent eight years at RBC Capital Markets working with ultra-high-net-worth families in addition to managing several of the firm’s relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, and state pension. Arden also has a wealth of knowledge in the institutional sector as he spent more than a decade heading up the institutional equities division in the Southeast at Lehman Brothers and Barclays. In this role, he was responsible for helping portfolio managers and analysts at hedge funds, state pension funds, and long-only asset managers make investment decisions. Milly is an accomplished investment professional with a diverse background in private equity, investment banking, and financial journalism. Early in her career, she honed her expertise as a private equity investment professional at Metalmark Capital, where she played a pivotal role in managing and executing complex investment strategies. Her experience at Greenhill & Co. further solidified her skills in due diligence, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, and various financial transactions across multiple industries.

In addition to her finance career, Milly has a strong passion for the cryptocurrency space. She previously served as a crypto specialist, leveraging her insights and knowledge to navigate this rapidly evolving market. Milly also contributed to the financial landscape as a journalist, primarily writing for Bitcoin Magazine and covering various aspects of fintech. Her unique blend of experience in both traditional finance and emerging technologies positions her as a thought leader in the intersection of finance and innovation.
